Too tired to write tonight..., tomorrow I meet the Taliban.

  • I was actually concerned about your public blog, because it had comments and observations that were foreign to many in your company and certainly security issues.
Beer and alcohol: It reminds me of my father, when he ordered an Army Mess to go dry. Drinking alcohol was prevalent in the army at that time. This was the times of PM Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, he had banned alcohol in the country, but had given discretion to discontinue alcohol in Army Mess at their will.
My father was called for explanation by the Division commander, who was the senior beneficiary of the Mess. He had this to say; First, we have taken oath that we would uphold the constitution of this country and the preamble of the constitution states that we would not make laws contrary to the Islamic values. Second, if a person drinks, he violates his values of the Islam. Third, if a person can violate the values of Islam how he would uphold a other laws. Fourth and last, he defies his own on conscienous.
    His decision was upheld.
This is what is being promoted as one world, we are not deft at it, promting ourselves without guilt.

  • I'm inclined to think that acts are usually a more personal decision. My views here are reflective of my views.

And I try not to be judgmental of others, but rather react to my own conditions.

When I've distanced myself from this project, I will turn it back into a public blog - but for now, I have to keep it private.

Thanks for the concern, it is appreciated!
